How Fellowship Intelligence Uses AI

How Fellowship Intelligence Uses AI

Fellowship Intelligence advises organizations on AI governance. That creates an obligation: our own AI use should be governed by the same standards we install for clients.

This page documents how we use AI in our advisory work, what we don't use it for, and how client information is handled

What we use AI for

AI is used in Fellowship Intelligence engagements for research synthesis, document drafting, pattern recognition across governance frameworks, and internal thinking support.

Specifically:

  • Synthesizing regulatory and industry research to inform diagnostic findings.
  • Drafting governance documentation that advisors review, revise, and own.
  • Surfacing patterns across governance gap assessments.
  • Supporting advisor preparation for client sessions.

In every case, AI contributes to the work. A named Fellowship Intelligence advisor owns the conclusions, signs off on the deliverables, and is accountable for the quality of what goes to a client.

What we do not use AI for

  • Final conclusions. Every finding delivered to a client is reviewed and owned by a qualified Fellowship Intelligence advisor before it is communicated.
  • Client-facing communication. AI does not draft or send emails, proposals, or session summaries on behalf of Fellowship Intelligence without explicit human review and approval.
  • Decision-making. Engagement decisions, scope determinations, and recommendations are made by FI advisors, not generated by AI systems.

How we handle client information

Client information shared in the course of an Fellowship Intelligence engagement is not entered into AI systems governed by consumer-tier data handling terms. Where AI is used to support work that touches client context, it is conducted on platforms with enterprise data handling agreements, explicit restrictions on training use, and appropriate data processing terms.

We do not share client information across engagements. We do not retain client materials beyond the engagement scope unless explicitly agreed. We do not use client situations as illustrative examples in any public context without prior consent.

Our platform standards

FI advisors use AI platforms that meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Enterprise or business-tier account with a signed Data Processing Agreement.
  • No provider right to use conversation data for model training.
  • Clear data retention policies compatible with client confidentiality obligations.
  • For engagements involving EU-based client data: GDPR-compliant data processing terms.

The operating principle

AI gives you knowledge. Qualified advisors supply the judgment. Every governance system Fellowship Intelligence installs reflects this boundary and so does every engagement we run.
